Happy Birthday. I don’t track b-days for others the way I used to or should.

Getting older really isn’t a bad thing….and it’s not like you can fight it off, just some of the effects of it and for only a period of time. So don’t fret too much. I too have TWO grey chest hairs. But considering how many hairs I have there, it’s a very very small %.

Roll w/it. Embrace it. Make 39 your bitch.

Moby, a philosophical addition to my last comment…

I’m glad you put “wisdom” in front of “experience” in your blog. One of my teachers asked me if I’d rather be “experienced” or “wise”…

The teacher went on to explain, “A person gains ‘experience’ by burning his hand on the stove… A person with ‘wisdom’ learns by watching the ‘experienced’ person burn his hand on the stove.”

Furthermore, as you talked about your dad dealing with you being gay, remember: “Maturity(age) may imply ‘experience’ but it doesn’t always imply wisdom”. I’ve seen many adults who have ‘experienced’ much, but learned (wisdom) very little in the process.

About the grey chest hair, take it from me “Just For Men Beards and Mustaches” once every six weeks or so works wonders. I am not a vain person (not much anyway) but I cannoy tolerate grey chest hair on myself.
