Sad Day2

One of my coworkers mysteriously died last night. She works graveyard and after she got home early this morning, she was supposed to wake up to take her grandkids somewhere and that is how they found her. It is unknown what happened yet however, I can think of plenty worse ways to go.

Work, to say the least, is very emotional today. She was very well liked and a long time employee at our call center. In our line of work, we often disconnect ourselves from emergencies as a form of self-defense. However, when it happens to you directly or those close to you, disconnecting is impossible.

TH we miss and love you. I hope that you find happiness in your release from here.

  1. Gosh, it seems like you’ve had your share of crazy things happen over the last few months. I’m thinking of you, and your coworkers, today…….take good care.

  2. It’s hard to lose people who are in our lives on a regular basis. I’m sorry for your loss. She went when it was her time to go, peacefully.

  3. Death defies convenience and emotional preparedness, and while the hurt is great, I guess we do grow stronger from the sudden loss of a relative, friend or colleague…in time. But first the mourning, and for that please know that others have saved a space for you in their thoughts today.

  4. I’d like to think she went peacefully in her sleep. It’s just sad in those instances because her children and grandchildren donn’t really have a chance to say good-bye and “I love you mom/grandma.” I’ll say a prayer for her tonight.

  5. So sorry to read about your friend. I hope you find some peace through good memories.

    Hugs!

  6. I hate to quote a television show, but it seems appropriate.

    Six feet Under
“Why do people have to die?”
    “To make life important.”

Let this be a reminder to all of us to make it important. (At least to ourselves.)
