Back At It

I’m happy to announce I can start working out again. Or more specifically, I can start working out my upper body again. The collarbone is mended up and I’m almost good as new. I’ll have to build back up to it of course. Even though the bone is healed, it still needs time to really become solid again.

I’ve gained about 15 lbs of excess blubber since the accident so I need to start working it off. lol I was doing cardio for a while but I hated doing it everyday so stopped altogether. Of course, I continued to eat like I always do.  hehehe  Naturally, I gained some weight. The hubby tends to love late night snacks so I blame him. lolol Not really. I could have just as easily said no.

The check for my bike should be sitting in my mailbox right about now. I had an odd schedule last week and haven’t made it to the post office yet. Once I have check in hand, I’ll start the process for getting a new bike. Wish me luck.

  1. I can't believe you're gonna get another bike.

Maybe this one should have extra stabilizing wheels and a roll cage.

  2. I can't even imagine breaking a bone as an adult. It was bad enough as a child. I think you are very fortunate to be doing so well so fast.

  3. It scares me that you are getting another bike. But I understand that if you love something a lot, it's hard to not get on it and ride it again and again. (It's just not bikes for me 😉 ) At any rate, I'm glad to hear you are healed and back at it. Like other things, work you way into it and don't try to handle too much at once.

  4. Congrats on the recovery. And good luck on the search for the 'beast II" or "beaster". I completely understand the need for another bike. However, my warning is to maybe be even more wary of the unknowing, unaware, inept four-wheel drivers out there. I know it's impossible to anticipate all their stupid moves, but allowing more space and time around them will certainly help you and your body.

So what will it be this time? Another Gixxer? Going up to a full "liter-bike"? Gonna mix it up and get a dually? SV's make good expendable, not-too-expensive beater-bikes, if you insist abusing more two-wheelers.

  5. Is it so wrong for me to want to see a naked pic of you with the extra 15lbs? Does that make me a Chubby Chaser, or just a plain old fashioned slut?

  6. It's good to know you are on the mend and able to get back to working out and feeling good. I hope the holidays were good to you and Apple guy and hope next year will be free of accidents!

  7. Moby, I 'm relieved that you're on the mend. I just read about your accident yesteday. Cant you look into one of those hover cycles, like in "Star Trek"?

May 2011 be as accident free for you as 2010 was compassion free for republicans.
