518 Only

So, I knew it was bound to happen eventually. Just not so soon. Someone hit the bike today. (518 is our code for accident w/no injuries)
I was parked at the post office and came out see this guy backing right into it. I let out a yelp and he stopped just as his bumper made contact. As luck would have it, he only pushed it a bit. What aggrevated me, instead of pulling forward he just stopped and hopped out. I’m sure his ears were are a littled seared though. I’m none too shy and when I’m excited or angry the curse words tend to flow. He was very apologetic but I wasn’t hearing it.

I got lucky this time. I walked out in time to catch it. My buddy kristaki had a similar experience at a post office as well. Who knew post offices were such hot spots for running over motorcycles!

Oh, It’s almost gay high holy day (Dore Alley Fair). I’m working the BCC booth on Sunday. If you are local or gonna be in town, stop by say hi. I’m sure to be a dirty hoe too. Or at least I’m hoping too.

Have a good weekend all!

  1. Never fails these days. Get something new and it doesn’t stay that way for long. I have learned to let go. I used to get pissed off at the slightest damage to my car. Heck here in LA area, and SF is no different, to many crazies on the road, tto much rushing around, and too much congestion. An accident is bound to happen. Have fun at Dore. You headin’ up to Lazy Bear at all the following weekend?

  2. Guess I need to hop myself on a flight then this weekend!

Oh and you gotta stop going to the post office – only bad shit happens there – it is the electronic age ya know! 😉

  3. I’m sorry to hear about the bike. Hope it’s not too bad. People are getting less attentive these days. Even my big-ass car has a few dings from people who apparently can’t see a Mercury Grand Marquis.

They say no man is an island, but I’m willing to give it a try. 🙂

  4. Last Sunday I almost backed into a bike parked on Castro in front of AAB. Seems the street is painted different than the location of parking meters.
