Are We There Yet?

Ugh! I’m on day one of a three day stint of working 12 hour shifts. I’m lucky in that I’m on 1100-2300 hour mobilization so I’ll still get home at my normal time. Expect numerous posts over the next few days as I’ll be bored out of my skull with all the extra down time. Ironically, with the mobilization our numbers are what they would be if our center was fully staffed.

My biggest gripe is I won’t have any gym time for next 3 days. I took off last week because I was feeling icky. Now that I’m better, I’m stuck on this stupid shift for the next 3 days. Translation? I’ll go almost two weeks w/o seeing the inside of the gym. I know I’m not fat but I can’t help feeling like a bloated heifer. lol Oh well, that just means I have to hit it hard once I go back to my normal shift. I designed two new routines for myself and I’m itching to try’em out. The first deals w/maximizing muscle kinetics as much as working the actual muscle. There have been some really interesting advancements in the study of muscle growth lately. Being someone who has always been strong for my size, I get excited anytime I can find a way to gain muscle size vs strength. Oh speaking of, Adam will be in town this weekend and we are gonna work out together. I can’t wait to see those big biceps of his in action.

In other news, I think I’m becoming addicted to twitter.1 I’m sure I’ll get bored eventually however, it’s fun to leave a quick jab as to what I’m doing or whats got me annoyed at the moment. Btw, if you twitter and I haven’t buddied you yet, leave me a message here. It might seem mundane but I like hearing about the day to day details of peoples lives. Course, it could just be I’m nosy.

Did I mention, I think I’m pregnant? I’ve been craving really weird foods lately. I even had a craving for candy.2 Considering I haven’t been to the gym this week, that can’t be good for my caboose. My latest craving: turkey meatballs mixed w/mac & cheese and a dill pickle as a side.

1 The little update thingy on the left that shows my random updates.
2 Besides a weakness for peanut butter cups, I rarely eat candy at all.

  1. what i can see, no heifer, and that work schedule sucks….need some down time dude…….i started back to the gym last week after almost 2 years absense……sucks starting over………..

  2. Moby:
Can you at some point please do a detailed post about these new training routines, and share your knowlege/findings? It’s piqued my interest. I’m just getting over some tendonitis, so I’m looking for tips to fire up the old w/o.
Also..those twitter posts you put up are unnecessary, pointless, and unaccountably totally fun to read. It must be my inner Gladys Kravitz, but I love it! Twitter on!

  3. Sometimes a little bit break time is good for the weight training. Those big guns of yours will need a break, too! 🙂

  4. I don’t understand the pull of twitter. I think it is internet communication on crack. We’ll soon lose our ability to communicate orally as everything is broken down into mindless drivel and chatter. Oh the humanity! I say for the greater good of civilization, we pull the plug on Twitter and make those unruly brats that use it write a book if they feel the need to constantly express themselves. It’s all really just mindless drivel and a mindless waste of time in my book.

  5. I’m not sure which made me laugh more, your view or that you said “orally”.

Some of us can’t jet set all over the country being a hussy. Instead, we are left to share our daily prattle via twitter like services. *eg*

Btw, I got the T-shirts, I liked and thank you.
