Weekend Gone

I miss my weekend. I had Friday and then Sunday/Monday off and I was happy to be lazy. I did manage to do the fraking laundry one day. Tell it on the mountain! Actually, I don’t know why I have such a mental block for doing it. I walk a block and half w/my granny cart and laptop in tow, I sit and surf the net while its churning away. I can think of worse ways to spend an afternoon.

Actually, I got quite a few things done. I needed a new travel scanner, a USB memory stick, and some minor tech gadgets. After laughing hysterically thru lunch w/my friend Matthew1, we were off to shop. He bounced around town w/me. He gets a merit badge for putting up w/my incessant need to have just the right gadget(s) for my needs. Bless him. The rest of Friday was a blur of between being a couch potato and the xbox.

Sunday, I had a date but he stood me up. I promptly blocked him on bear411. Actually, he didn’t stand me up per say. He kept emailing beforehand acting all wishy-washy. Then he had the gall to say “well I don’t know why I’m being so shy about meeting“. WTF does that mean? Translation, I’m either 1) too lazy, 2) I lied about my pics or 3) I got a better offer and just to chicken shit to say it. Whatever. Next!

The rest of the day was pretty lazy. I hung around the house being butch. I fixed two light fixtures, the shower head, and replaced all the internal workings of the toilet.2 I also cleaned off my desk. Oh yeah, fun filled, can ya tell?

As you can tell from the flood of pics, I finally got another plug-in working on the blog. Before hand, I joined flickr however, the one feature I joined for isn’t working so I’m already over it.

I was a bit of a pig today. New post coming for that. *hint*

2 I’m so butch. Beer, pussy, foootballl. Warroof! (NOT!)

  1. Ok, I might be nervous meeting you, but there would be no way in hell I would cancel out. Jesus.

I also thoroughly enjoy the blog footnotes. I feel they lend a special air of literary greatness to the blog post.
