It’s Official!

I’m the proud owner of a GSX-R750! [1]I’m also another 10g’s in debt. lol   I finished the loan and purchase paperwork yesterday.  Now, I just need to get the bike home.  Luckily, my buddy kristaki has generously agreed to help me (He rides too).  He is gonna come by Friday on my off day.  It will be at least a couple more weeks before I’m fit enough to drive again.

As excited as I am, my priorities are in order.  I have no interest in getting hurt again from hopping back in the saddle too quickly, so to speak.  I’ll bide my time till I know I can ride.  I appreciate the worry and concern from everyone.

Speaking of healing, I survived my first round of rehabilitation yesterday.  It was grueling but they seemed surprised at my range of motion.  I’ll be honest, I had to come home and take a vicodin afterwards.  They mostly just pushed and pulled my arm in different directions.  I had planned to take a nap but I was so amped up about the bike I couldn’t sleep.  By the end of the day, I was doing ok again.  I am a still sore today though.

  1. Excellent news! Now that outta make you feel better.

@Lewis ~ You saw the afore mentioned comment about touching myself right? LOL

  2. that is great that you got another bike. I’m not sure I would have the sense not to out riding it immediately! Hpe one day we get to ride together. Good luck with the healing.

  3. i have not checked your site for awhile, and when i got down to the pic of you after the accident, i felt sick. sadly, i just got news last friday that one of our clients’ store managers was cut off on his bike, laid it down and went right under the ranger in front of him. he did not survive.

please be careful. no lecture…just: PLEASE. BE. CAREFUL.

and congrats on the new bike!

  4. Glad to see you are getting better – physical therapy can be a bitch, I know. I’m sure your new bike can’t wait for you to take it for a spin, either. But you don’t want to rush it. Take it easy.

  5. AWSOME! Even the thought of a GSX-R750 is enough to make me a little bit moist! Of course waiting until you’re fully healed will just make it oh-so-much better when you finally do get to jump on and take it for a squirt. Of course until then you can just look at it and touch yourself freely! I hope it’s everything you could wish for and more.

  6. I bet you did need to twist his arm very hard to get him to volunteer!
Goor Luck with Therapy…. and don’t forget to do your ‘homework’ that they assign… it really will help. Frist few weeks are a bit– though

  7. Riding side-saddle is not recommended on this new model, Moby. Besides, it makes people think you’re gay. 😉

@Steve ~ Now THAT is funny! lol
