I’m curious. How often do you block people on social media? Do you have different rules for different sites? Do you have a line that can’t be crossed? Or is it arbitrary?
I’m curious as I block folks often. I’ll share some of my reasons later.

I block without abandon on every platform at the slighted whiff of idiocy / dumb takes, rage baiting, sharing without attribution, lede burying, context missing, bad handle, tacky avatar, unnecessary noise, sus nature, bot potential, and too frequent cries for attention, sad trombones or first class champagnes. I’m sure I’ll think of more!
I block with a very heavy hand. Mostly to make sure I never see their idiocy again and get tempted to waste time calling them out.
