Blogger No More

It is w/a heavy sigh that I remove Texan from my blogroll. He hasn’t posted sincy early May. I think it has become obvious he has abandoned blogging. Or at least this particular blog.

He was one of my faves and I am sorry to see him go. I hope life is treating him well.

But never fear after the clouds comes the sun. I welcome the addition of brettcajun. I’ve been meaning to add him for awhile but I keep getting distracted. It is nice to finally have another cajun on the list. I was born in Lousy-ana and grew up in TX. Some would say I had the best of both worlds. Some would say otherwise.

Oh, I’ve noticed links to my site have increased…A LOT! So a BIG thank you to everyone who has added me to your blog lists. I’m happy you enjoy my ignunce.

I’ll probably be adding more links to my list in the coming week. I’m still catching up.

Here goes.

1. What is the most embarrassing thing that ever happened to you in grade school?
That’s easy. Fifth grade, I had Miss Hanchey as my teacher. On the outside she was a mean spiteful wench. On the inside, she was a sweet old lady who loved kids. So one day after grammar studdies, I’m goofing off (I was a holy terror in grade school) leaning way back in my chair, holding myself upright by my feet under my desk. I inadvertently farted and it was a loud one. Not only that but the chair seat was plastic so it reverberated even louder. The whole room burst out laughing. I was so startled I lost my footing and fell straight back. Two whammies for the price of one!

2. Name something that you really wish you were better at.
Sucking cock. No, just kidding, I am an expert at that already. Uh…um…I always wished I could sing. My child hood fantasy was to be a singer. The first time I heard my recorded voice played back I was heartbroken to discover I couldn’t carry a note if my life depended on it.

3. What specific item in your closet/wardrobe would you wear to definitely get a man’s attention?
This is a toughy. I can dress to impress but I am very much a T-shirt and jeans kinda guy. I’d have to say a nice snug pair of pants to show off my backside. Guys usually notice my eyes and my butt first anyway. If you got it, flaunt it!

4. What would your friends be surprised to find in the trunk or glove box of your car?
Well I currently own a motor scooter so that would be kinda hard. (I sold my car upon moving to SF) But back when I had a car, I’d have to say a taser. I kept a taser in my glovebox for years.

5. M&M’s or Skittles?
Defintely M&M’s. I’m not a big candy person. The only other candy I find irresistible is Reece’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Feeling Better & Random Musings

I’ve started dealing some of the issues in my life that are bothering me. That in itself has put me in better spirits. I think, like Brat, last week I was majorly PMS’ing. Oh yes, men pms. But for us, it stands for Pansy Man Syndrome. It is that time of the month where we go from our normal selves to this quivering pile of emotions run amok. So anyway, I’m in a better mood this week.

I had some random pics to post but I somehow deleted them w/o knowing it. That or I’m just a tard. Either way, they are gone and haven’t a clue where they went. If they surface, I’ll post’em.

On the work front, I have a remedial trainee starting today. She really dosen’t need remedial but she flubbed up a few times during her monitoring sessions so I guess they wanted to make sure she can cut it. I get to weed out all her bad habits. She is a nice lady and really seems to want the job so we’ll see.

I’m not sure if I mentioned it but I’m headed back home to Houston this Friday. I’m taking a long weekeng for a good friend’s birthday. He celebrates it w/2 other of our mutual friends and it is sort of big event. Several hundred people will be in attendance. I’m also planning to visit the kin as well. I’m thinking I might audio and photo blog it just for shits and giggles.

I often see people post their playlists from their mp3 players so I thought I’d give it a whirl. First, I don’t have ipod. I have a thing for simplicity and even a little synchronicity thrown in for good measure. I use my Ipaq 6315 phone/pda as my mp3 player. It serves as an all-in-one device for me which is perfect!

I’ve got the podcast setup so now what do I do? I haven’t really decided yet how I plan to go about it. Should I only podcast conversations I think relevant or should I podcast my regular blog entries for that extra ummph that is Moby? Shit, I dunno.

For now, I think I’ll randomly do audio for posts from home. But don’t hold me to it.

Fly Away

I finally got around to booking my trip home. I’m headed home to ole Texas for one of my best friend’s birthday in mid July. The sassy one is turning 39 (I think). I missed last years as the ex had just started getting sick. This year, I planned ahead and got the time off so I can swing on down for quick ‘how do’ to the friends and family. The sassy one is headed up to Oklahoma the following weekend so I cut my trip short to accommodate his schedule. (Ok, the real reason is I can extend my Fort Lauderdale trip in November). shhhh!

Yes, I’ll be making a pilgrimage to see what is left of the clan. With the passing of my father, it’s just us siblings. Truthfully, I feel more connected to them than I have in a long time. That has to be way fu*ked up but nobody ever accused me of being normal. Anyway, after the birthday bash, I’m visiting the family to keep up my end of things. Oddly enough, I’m excited about going home. Not because it is Texas but mainly just to get away. I’ve been too cooped up in SF lately and it is time to get out of town. Even if it is just for a long weekend. I was hoping to swing by and visit the Texan, but he seems to have dropped off the face of blogging so that ain’t gonna happen. 🙁 So much for my blogger convention.

I’m on vacation starting Saturday. I was gonna fly home but instead I got a last minute deal on airfare so I’m off to Chicago to visit another friend.

Weekend Wanderings III

My weekend is fast coming to an end. After getting in touch w/my inner slut last night, I spent most of the day today getting errands done and goofing off.

As you can tell, I did manage to get some work done on the blog. I think I got most of the bugs out of the template. Now, I just need to remold the old pages. The biggest challenge will be getting the blog folded into the template.

I did manage to snap off a couple of new pics. I manged to catch Mostovic focused on his work.

Ponder Me This...

He came down to the Castro to meet me. Our schedules have been going in opposite directions as of late. It was good to catch up w/him. Even if it was short lived.
