This is back when I had hair. I think I look so gay in this pic. lol Even then I think it was obvious. Anyway, this was one of the few birthdays I actually celebrated, courtesy of my Grandma. She baked the cake and traveled 100 miles. I loved that old bird.

Just uploaded a quick vid. Nothing exciting. I was just bored and my fingers were greasy from pizza [1]yeah pizza. so figured it was a good a time as any to do a new vid.
This one is only about 6 megs. It does take a little bit for it to load once you hit play.
One of my twitter buddies pointed out my podcast link doesn’t work. Well, yeah that is pretty much true. I haven’t tweaked it since I lost the categories a while back so for now it is dead. I’ll get to it eventually.

I decided to switch from Windows Live Writer back to Post2blog. WLW is nice and functions well but, I don’t care for all the extraneous code it adds to the posts. As usual Microsoft screws up a great product with overkill.
Post2blog isn’t as polished as WLW however, it gets the job done and offers a few extra nifty editing functions. Best of all, it doesn’t add more html code than necessary. Simple, functional and best of all, free!
…I was child-friendly.

I weighed myself today and I’m at 186.5 lbs (naked). My body fat is between 15-18%. [1]I did the old measurement style which is never accurate but close enough. I’m shooting for 8-12%. [2]Anything lower isn’t too healthy as you have no reserves for when you get sick. Your body immediately cannibalizes muscle for energy. Not a lot for a goal of 6 months so you can see I’m not really going overboard. lol However, I plan on focusing on building more muscle as well so the two goals together does present a bit of a challenge. I wanna get my muscle weight up to about 195 lbs. As soon as I do my measurements, I’ll list out the current vs the goal.
Today was my first day of cardio. I only did 3 miles. Not bad for first day. I get bored easily so I did 1 mile treadmill, 1 mile elliptical (spellling?) runner, 1 mile on the stationary bike. I plan on adding the stairmaster as well in a couple of weeks.
I’m not trying to be vain however, now that I’ve told everyone about my goal, it makes it harder for me to ignore it. I don’t like telling someone I’ll do something and then not do it. Just sticks in my craw when I do. I figure this way now I’m on the line and have to deliver. There is always a method to my madness.

I’m starting a new workout routine. I’ve been meaning to do it for a while now but kept putting it off. I figure if I don’t, I’m never gonna adjust to my new schedule. I admit it, I’m a tad lazy when it comes to getting motivated in the mornings. It is the least productive part of my day. Ugh! I’m not overweight [1]Btw, my before shot. Be warned it might NSFW but I decided as one of my New Year’s resolutions to see how lean I could get. No time like the present to get crackin’. I got the dentist aka braces goal on track so time to move on to #2.
I figure it is time to use some of my own advice and put myself on a routine and a workout schedule. Writing down goals and tracking them greatly increases your success rate. Such a simple thing and yet so many don’t do it. I’m gonna try to get my BMI (body mass index) done this week. Then I’ll post my current stats vs my projected goals. I’m giving myself 6 months. A tad long for my lean goal however, on my schedule I am building in space for errors (aka laziness).
Anyone wanna join me? I’ll give you the steps.

I rarely discuss politics on my blog. Mainly, as it can incite people in all sorts of unexpected ways. Some people take their politics very seriously. Others, could care less. Either way, never a good idea to discuss in an open forum. For the record, I tend to be more liberal socially. I find it shameful that we can sleep at night denying medical care to someone simply because they are poor. However, when it comes to government oversight and economics, I tend to be a tad more conservative. I’m not a registered Republican. I’m not a registered Democrat. I am, however, a registered voter. I get my point across by voting. I read, I investigate and then I vote for the person I think best for the position, regardless of their political affiliation. Not rocket science in an age where information is a click away. Sadly, I find myself more and more these days voting for the lesser of two evils.
Anyway, this is sort of a side rant.
I’m sitting at Firewood in the ghayto today and I overhear a group of young people [1]early 20’s tops….god, I feel old. lol arguing over the differences between Obama and Hilary. I’m initially excited to hear such young folk talking politics. Then I tune into what they are arguing about. Clothing of all things. They were arguing over who dresses better. [2]Leave it to my people to get to the heart of the issues. lol
I’m not sure I should laugh or cry at the moment. If they fate of the country hinges around how well the Prez-elect dresses, oh my. Of course, I shouldn’t really be surprised. We routinely vote actors in political offices based solely on the merits of their acting careers. I guess I should be content they even care. I don’t really remember my generation being overly political growing up. Of course, I grew up in the back woods of East Texas. My perspective might be skewered just a bit. Back to my eavesdropping, one young pretty lesbian girl keeps interjecting the issues back into the conversation. God love her! lol She seems pretty well informed. I’m hoping maybe I am just hearing the abstract of a longer more involved conversation. If not, well at least we will have a pretty President.
