Tuckered Out

Finally made it to Texas. I’m a tired puppy. Being on the go since Thursday has finally caught up with me. I’m relaxing at Trev’s house. Headed out East tomorrow to see the clan. Still working on the pics.

More later when I have more energy.

8 Fraking Memes

Everyone knows I hate memes however, I was tagged by Kelly Stern with a follow up request from Large Tony. I like Large T’s version better and it is hard to resist a southern man who says please. Actually, this was a hard meme to do. If you read my private posts w/any regularity, there is very little I haven’t covered.

Eight Sexual Things You May Not Know About Me.

8. I consider my incredibly strong libido a vice. (One I can live with but a vice nonetheless)

7. I’ve gotten so good at giving oral most guys rarely last more than 10 minutes.

6. The first time I had sex w/a women, I vomited afterwards.

5. I am not very shy but after a few drinks I get very aggressive. After this weekend, that isn’t so much of a secret anymore.

4. If I’m intimidated by a guy, I will not get a boner now matter how hard I try.

3. I got out of a speeding ticket once by blowing the cop.

2. I got paid to have sex w/a guy once when I was only 19.

1. I had sex w/my step-brother, 2 step-cousins, and 4 jocks from my high school.

I never know who to tag so if you wanna do it, just post a comment or trackback here.

Climbing On My Horse.

Once again ignunce rears its ugly head. I’m catching up my on my blogroll from work when I stumble across this post from joe.my.god.

The owners of a new website basically attacked Andy/Bill of the bigmusclebears.com family of websites with the image below.

crappyimage

When called to task for the behavior the site owner further had this to say.

You just cannot fathom how incorrect you are. For every one of you fluffy fags that defend those two child endangering losers, we get 200 to join our REAL Bear site. Why? Because outside of GayLoserTown USA, (aka San Francisco), the rest of the gay world regrets you flaming queens even exist. Your bring the curve down for the rest of the community, and are the root cause of why we don’t have equal rights.

Forgetting for a moment the outright nastiness of the owner, most of the rights we have today are thanks to ’those flaming queens’ he so detests. In the words of Donna Sachet, "Get a clue, Mary".

I happen to know Andy and Bill from various charities here in SF. It might be worth mentioning they don’t live in SF but far be it from me to offer up petty details. They are two of the friendliest, nicest guys you could ever meet. To me, they are the poster children for the bear community. To try and defame them is childish and irresponsible. Oh, and the pics used above were all taken from charity fundraisers. Andy and Bill own bigmuscle.com, normalguy.com, and bigmusclebears.com websites. They give thousands of dollars (and I do mean thousands) every year to local and national charities. It boggles the mind to someone from our own community is now attacking them in an attempt to make a buck.

Whether you identify as a bear or not, I encourage you to spread the word NOT to do business w/this guy. People like this only understand one thing, money. So I say we hit’em where it hurts.

I’m off to celebrate w/all "those flaming queens".

Prom or Porn?

First things first, brettcajun made it safe and sound! hehehe Public transist is new to him so we had to go over it a few times. It is good to see Brett again. He is still his normal charming rascally self. I had to bail for work but left him in the capable hands of my roomie’s boyfriend who is also in town.

Speaking of, I routinely forget my roomie did porn (google Ray Stone). When you know someone as well as he and I know each other you just sort of black it out. lol It doesn’t help that his boyfriend has also just made the jump into porn. (Ty Lebouf on hothouse’s blog) So, Ty being from New Orleans naturally knew Brett. hehehe. It is a small world after all. I left them together laughing and cutting up at the apartment. Lord only knows what kind of mischief they’ll get into today.

Feeling OK?

Apparently, I don’t date much. I mentioned to a couple of buds from work I had a date, you’d have thought I got drafted in the armed services. People were all up in my grill asking “what gives”? I guess it has been a while since I’ve gone on a real date. One bud was feeling my forehead all day asking if I was feeling ok. This from a man who owns 5 t-shirts. I’ll take his advice once he realizes getting dressed has more to do than getting out of the shower. hehehe

In other news, the blogger shindig is this Friday. Appears to be a good turn out so far. I’m interested to see how some of the personalities “blend” together. Half the group I already know and the other half I’m looking forward to adding to my list of knowns. Sadly, several hopefuls will not be attending. *sniffle* You know who you are and you will be missed.

I’m flying home right after the festivities to see the clan. One brother had to cancel due to some medical problems w/one of his chirruns. I’m bummed but still planning to make the best of it. I’m also looking forward to seeing my friend Trevan. I always crash w/him while in town and I’m sure we’ll paint the town red at least one night. I’m also hoping to meet one of my xbox gamer buddies from there but he might end up being out of town for work. *sigh*

Ok, eyelids are heavy, sleep now.

What?

Thanks for all the well wishes. You’d think by now some of you would have figured out I don’t do the lesbain courting rituals. You know what I’m talking about. Meet, fall in love, move-in by the 2nd date. Uh, no thanks. While I’m certainly open to possibilities, I am not on a mission to find a husband.

I can report Mr. New Guy came by after work last night for a movie. He ended up staying the night. What? Don’t raise your eyebrows at me like that. It was perfectly harmless. Yeah, harmless . . . I can also report he is a great cuddler and only mildly snores. hehehe The rest, well you can use your imagination to fill in the blanks. He got me up way earlier this morning than I’d normally care for though. We did breakfast and then I dropped him off at home. He and I are all booked up for the coming weekend so probably won’t see him again for at least a week. I figure by then he’ll be ready for another dose of yours truly.

In the meantime, I need a nap.

Uh Oh!

Here I go again. I met a guy online who just moved to SF recently. We seem to have a good connection so far and have decided to schedule a date soon. hehehe Nothing replaces an in-person connection of course but I’m looking forward to it.

I’ve been a little skiddish since the thing with M but am not letting that scare me off. Time will tell and I’ll keep ya up-to-date.

**Update** We met over lunch today. DAMN, he is just as sexy in person. He seems to feel the same way about me. (I should get it in writing before he wises up. hehehe.) So, the chemistry is definitely there. We didn’t have much time as I had to head off to work but I LIKES.

Pride Cometh

The motherland is gearing up for the first gay high holy day of the season. The gym gets busier by the day, the bars have already put out flashy banners, and the city is slowly filling up w/visitors. Yes, gay pride is coming again to SF. I’ve weighed in more than a few times on pride here but feel compelled to do so again.

I’ve already seen and heard that many folks once again don’t celebrate pride anymore. They feel it represents aspects of the community as undesirable. Aspects many would rather middle America knew nothing about. Why? Because it forces them to challenge their beliefs. Oh, I’ll be the first to admit pride is no longer just about celebration however, that doesn’t mean we should stop. We are more visible than ever. We have more rights than ever. However, one only need to look as far as the local news to see that gays/lesbians are still tormented, tortured, and even murdered by the ignorant.

Gays/lesbians come from all walks of life. We cross the divide of race, sex, and nationality. It is foolish to think we will ever speak w/one voice; we are simply too diverse. Does that mean we should abandon those who came before us? Or how about those coming after us? Will they see a community as large and diverse as humanity itself or will they see nothing?

I came out very young. Even though I decided to live openly for myself, I was still very naive and scared. Seeing my first pride parade gave me hope. I realized I was not alone. I realized I didn’t need to settle for second class citizenship. I realized that there were people just like me out there in the world. It was such a relief and it was then I knew I’d be alright. I have not forgotten those fearful years. I find it an act of cowardice to even suggest we abandon a celebration of who we are. We would be turning our backs not only on the very liberties we’ve fought so hard for but also those coming up behind us. There may come a day when we no longer need to celebrate in unity. That day is not yet upon us. While many of us have come to terms w/being gay, many more have not. We may not identify or even agree w/parts of the gay “community”. We don’t have to. We only need remember that everyone has the right to live openly and free of persecution simply because we are different.

It is with an open heart I welcome you into the fold. Fag, dyke, queer, lesbo, tranny, daddy, twink, bear, bunny, lesbian, gay, or whatever you call yourself. Welcome. And realize you are not alone.
