Utter Randomness

Absolutely nothing overtly exciting in this post. Really, I swear. Oh alright, I do have a few half way interesting pics to share. That’s it!

Seems like a case of the nasties is going around the intarweb lately. From brettcajun’s regular hater list, Jimbo’s recent brush w/the a snooty-patooty, and homer getting a snotty email from a frigid hag over a minor posting error, my weekly list of not-so-fond admirers seems dull in comparison. Yes, I get hate mail. I often ignore them as I don’t have time for other people’s issues. Hell, I barely have time for mine. The last said commenter went thru the effort to register as a user and then complained about my explicit posts. Ignoramus, I told you not to register if you didn’t wanna hear about such things. Most often, I think folks are operating under the incorrect assumption I give a shit what they think of my life. No thanks, I’m all stocked up on bullshit here. That, or they feel compelled to project their own issues onto my choices. See afore mentioned comment. Moving right along….

The weekend was uneventful. The roomie’s bf is in town for a filming gig. He kept showing off his new iphone which I am summarily unimpressed with. Ok, ok, I’ll give props to the very slick interface however, it does very little besides look flashy. Here is a pic we snapped on our way to see the Harry Potter flick.

Random Smandom IV

I’m on day two of my lovely 12 hour shifts. I’m begrudgingly surviving. Tomorrow is supposed to be the last day. Today is a tad busier however, no major crises1 so far. The All-Star game is officially tomorrow. I’m on the medical/fire side of the room this week and it is hoppin’ today. The PD side is relatively calm overall. We had 2 shootings today which then caused a vehicle accident but that seems to be the big drama of the day so far.

With the last post about register vs subscriber, I got a whole slew of new users. The list is well over a hundred now. If I haven’t expressed it before, let me say how truly honored I am you all enjoy my rants. I may not always be right but I always have an opinion!2

Speaking of, the Flight attendant texted me today. He is coming to SF in a couple of weeks. You can imagine the very large smile that put on my face! hehehe

Cunt-inental

Remind me to NEVER fly with Continental airlines ever again. Both flights coming/going have been late. I’m sitting in IAH waiting, waiting, and waiting for my plane to arrive. I just heard the plane finally landed an hour and half late! So much for trying to get here on TIME. It could be worse I guess. I could have missed the damn flight all together.

The wait did give me some precious down time to work on some of the pics from the weekend. I had a really good time at the GBS (gay blogger summit II) this past weekend. The pic below should give you an indication of how it went.

Climbing On My Horse.

Once again ignunce rears its ugly head. I’m catching up my on my blogroll from work when I stumble across this post from joe.my.god.

The owners of a new website basically attacked Andy/Bill of the bigmusclebears.com family of websites with the image below.

When called to task for the behavior the site owner further had this to say.

You just cannot fathom how incorrect you are. For every one of you fluffy fags that defend those two child endangering losers, we get 200 to join our REAL Bear site. Why? Because outside of GayLoserTown USA, (aka San Francisco), the rest of the gay world regrets you flaming queens even exist. Your bring the curve down for the rest of the community, and are the root cause of why we don’t have equal rights.

Forgetting for a moment the outright nastiness of the owner, most of the rights we have today are thanks to ’those flaming queens’ he so detests. In the words of Donna Sachet, "Get a clue, Mary".

I happen to know Andy and Bill from various charities here in SF. It might be worth mentioning they don’t live in SF but far be it from me to offer up petty details. They are two of the friendliest, nicest guys you could ever meet. To me, they are the poster children for the bear community. To try and defame them is childish and irresponsible. Oh, and the pics used above were all taken from charity fundraisers. Andy and Bill own bigmuscle.com, normalguy.com, and bigmusclebears.com websites. They give thousands of dollars (and I do mean thousands) every year to local and national charities. It boggles the mind to someone from our own community is now attacking them in an attempt to make a buck.

Whether you identify as a bear or not, I encourage you to spread the word NOT to do business w/this guy. People like this only understand one thing, money. So I say we hit’em where it hurts.

This Week In Pics III

The pics this week are few and varied. I didn’t do a whole lot over the weekend. Actually, most of my weekends of late have been very lazy. I figure it is time to get back on the horse and be a little more productive.

Speaking of productive, I had a very good week of workouts. I pushed myself very hard. So hard in fact, I had to take an extra couple days off. My entire body hurt from being sore. This week, I think I won’t push so hard. A friend who hasn’t seen me lately said I looked the same as I did last year. Little did he know that was a compliment. I’d gotten flabby and saggy in several places over the span of 6 months last year. His off the cuff comment made my day!

Here is Bobbeisha and I being somewhat silly. I’ve forgotten what it was we were laughing about but obviously it was hilarious.

In an effort to talk more about work, here is an average shot of one of workstations. I deliberately blurred the image as it showed 10-34 (sensitive) information on the screen. No since inviting drama into my life. On the left is the touch screen 800 MHz radio system. The two big screens in the middle are my normal workspace for anywhere from 6-15 active windows. The right is the touch screen phone system. Multi-tasking at its finest.

This Week In Pics

In my never-ending tinkering of the blog, I’m adding a new section. “This week in pics” is my endeavor to keep up w/taking pics for the blog. I get lazy at times and maybe this will help.

Speaking of tinkering, I also added a translation page (see left). It only supports about five languages for now however, I expect it to grow. Looking at my blog stats taught me quite a few folks from overseas read my blog. Hopefully, the little translation will help. Anyone overseas reading is welcome to give me feedback.

Weekend Update

The weekend was uneventful. I had a friend in town from LA. He had a two part visit. One, get some of his things from his old place here and two, for me to cheer him up. He is going thru some rough times right now. We succeeded on both parts. By the time he left, he was laughing and more like his old self again. Here he is being coy on my sofa.

The rest of the weekend went pretty smooth. The landlord came by to fix some misc. problems we’ve been having with the apartment. Oh, the roomie and I also went to see the new Spidey 3 flick on IMAX. It was pretty good and worth a see on the big screen. However, for the most expensive movie ever made, it didn’t leave me wet.

I do have to admit a sin here. I had Taco Bell over the weekend. In my defense, only once in the last two weeks and I had the soft tacos, fresca style (read less fat). I feeling so Jimmy Swaggart right now. [Insert tear-stained face here] Can you ever forgive me?

What else? As if you really wanted to know, I went back down to a 14gauge on the nipple ring. I didn’t like the way the larger version distorted my nipple. My nipples are on the small side and I don’t it to be disfigured if and when I ever decide to remove it.

Today is my Monday and work is well, work.
