Sunday Loteria At Homer’s

Ok, I finally got around to editing the pics from the trip. Yours truly remembered to take his camera however, like a ditzy queer I forgot to charge the damn battery. I was lucky enough to snag some pics from the group.

Remember I said I didn’t get very much sleep the night before? Well if this doesn’t convince you, nothing will.

Oh yes, I was struggling the first few hours till my second wind kicked in. Ok, I actually got a nap in. heehee. Here is a sexy man I ran into at the party. He was a real gent and sweet too. I did my best to convince him to come up to SF and visit me. Did I succeed? I’ll have to get back to you on that one.

Homer was so kind and made almost everything from scratch. He really is quite the cook. Not only did he whip up a very tasty Pineapple upside-down cake, he also made some tasty homemade pizzas. YUM!

A gratuitous pic of my and the sexy man again. Grrr! I was such a shameless flirt. I think he liked it though.

What? You think I only got one pic w/him? WRONG! I also snapped off another of him and Frank together. Adorable ain’t they?

After a delicious feast, we played Mexican bingo (La Loteria). I have to admit, it was fun. Homer had all these fun cheesy prizes if you won.

Yes, I finally won a prize too. Notice who I’m sitting next too?

Still Confused.

The next day I hung out w/Frank/John. They were such good hosts and indulged my every whim. We did lunch at one of their favorite Mexican hang-outs. I got a call from work and they got to see my bitch side.

There are a few more pics that were promised to surface however, I will leave that to chance. One is of me doing a jiggy dance and caught in a rather hilarious pose. You’ll have to do your homework to find it. heehee.

I had a great time. Homer, Frank, John and the entire cast of friends made me laugh and feel very welcome. I was very happy to finally see the famous Homer Pad. I met the ninja kitties and the welfare pup. She was so old but so sweet.

Frank/John were so nice to put up with me. I had a great time hanging out with both of them. Rumor has it they are coming back up for Folsom.

Early Bird

Terminal B

Like an idiot I forgot that BART doesn’t run as early on weekends and discovered I didn’t have a ride to the airport. Thankfully, I thought to check before getting up this morning. I scrambled to book an airport shuttle which worked fine however, I had to get up at 3:30am to catch the shuttle at 4:10am. Considering I got home from work at 10:30pm and didn’t actually fall asleep till midnight, I got roughly 3 hours of sleep. Thankfully, the flight this morning isn’t overly full so I’ll be able to catch some shut-eye on the way down. So here I sit and hour and a half early for a 7:00am flight!1

Yours truly is not the most pleasant person to be around when I’m sleep deprived. A lady bumped into me at the security check point and before I had a chance to catch myself I gave her a look meant to burn her wickedness straight back to the underworld.

The one bright point, this is an originating flight and I already got a peek at the flight crew. At least I’ll have a young cute Latin boy to oggle. He has eyeballed me twice already. Cute but sooo not my type. I don’t do the trimmed, plucked, and coiffed look. So LA and so not me but still, I’d rather that than some tight-lipped perky missy.

Oh yes, I am cranky!

1 Why exactly am I flying to Tucson?

Tucson – Here I Come

Today is my Friday. I’m off at 10pm tonight and then off to Tucson to see some blog buddies early tomorrow morning. Apparently, a shindig is planned. Knowing homer, there will be more menz there than I can shake a stick at. heehee I even did some laundry so I could be presentable! That has to mean something!

I’m taking the laptop and the phone so will do my very best to take plenty of pics. You know homer isn’t camera shy so between the two of us, I’m sure we’ll digitize the whole weekend. Actually, now that I think of it, the new tivo bag will make a great travel bag for my short trip!1 My one misgiving is the sun/heat. I hope they have some sunblock because I’m still pale as a ghost. lol

To all the private inquiries, no Homer is not mad at me. I guess over the recent fall out some felt he would be angry w/me.2 Kind of silly if you think about it. Anyone who would un-friend me over a difference of opinion really isn’t a friend at all. I wasn’t worried but lordy lordy, you gurls sure are nosy.3 And, I didn’t agree or disagree, I just didn’t really care for how it was handled. I make no apologies for that. Homer and I have been friends online and offline for several years now. That will continue.

Lunch w/Mr. Tivo was great. Besides the free stuff, he was very fun to hang out with. We laughed a lot. I introduced him to my favorite sushi roll and he loved it. As any two gay men in SF, we talked about tech, scifi, sex, men, and gadgets. Duh! As I said below, I think I made a new friend and I’m sure we’ll hang out again soon.

As a bit of a teaser, I may have some good news to report soon. Still to early to tell but I’ll let you know as soon as I can. It promises to be a bit of a scandal as well.

1 I’m taking almost as many gadgets as I am clothes.
2 Where do people come up with this stuff?
3 For the record, I’m very nosy. The nose knows best.

Weekend Past & Forward

Sunday, my buddy Matthew and I tramped off to the Eagle for Beer Bust. I don’t drink beer however, it is an awesome way to socialize.1 I haven’t been in quite some time since I switched to having Friday/Saturday’s off. Now that I’m back on Sunday/Monday’s off, I’m sure to go often. I met a woofy man who promised to call. He did but is leaving town on business for two weeks. Talk about leaving me high and dry. Bastard. *g* My buddy Matt tried to play the shy coy one till I shoved him into a hottie he was eyeballing. I won’t tell you what I saw them doing later on. hehehe I think he had a good time.

Afterwards, Matt wanted to go to the Power House, I was kind over it. I did stop by but didn’t stay long. I caught a ride home w/some blog buddies wherein some drama transpired. I tend to keep the drama in my personal life as minimal as possible. However, I got a real kick out of seeing some drama go down. Made my evening. At one point, someone thru a tantrum and stormed away. I did my best not to laugh. I ended up having a nice dinner at Firewood w/Chad Fox. I haven’t seen choxie in a while and it was great to relax and catch up with him.

Later, I went for a night ride on the motorcycle. Very nice cool clear evening. Drove all over the city for about 2 hours. Really nice way to wind down the night.

So this coming weekend, 2 I’m off to Tuscon to see my buddies Frank & John from Urswine Addiction and of course Homer! Apparently, Homer is having a vote to see what kind of dessert to make me. (hint, vote for the pineapple) It is a short trip but I’m extremely excited. I’ve never been to Tuscon. Frank/John have promised to show me around a bit. I admire them as a couple quite a bit and am honored they offered me a place to crash.3 I’m also excited to attend one of homer’s famous feeds. All three have been to SF and we’ve all met before. Homer, Frank, and John are also friends so makes things easy as far as time constraints. I wish I could stay longer as I’ve stumbled across several other folks I wouldn’t mind seeing while I’m there. Since this was a spur of the moment trip, I’m making the best of the time I have. I’m sure the boys will all show me a good time.

1 1) It’s daylight so you can see everyone and 2) Most of the guys are sober at least for a couple hours.
2 Well, my weekend starts Sunday.
3 And they have AC! lol

Blabber Mouth

Ok, so many things to go on and on about today. You might wanna grab a sandwich this is gonna be a long entry.

The Flight Attendant:
First things first, the flight attendant called me this morning. Talk about put a smile on my face. hehehe I’m not really sure where this is headed. I’ve already mentioned, I’d be up for dating him. I guess I’d forgotten he was already dating someone1 however, from the conversation today, I’m wondering if now maybe something better is on the horizon. (meaning me, of course.) He has been very honest up front about that. I admire him for it too. That said, they haven’t reached a point of being exclusive yet so I don’t feel the least bit guilty. So without spilling all his beans, he seems willing to explore meeting again and maybe seeing what develops. Is that ambiguous enough for ya? lol Ok, I know that is a bit of a tease however, I don’t want to over think it and make it more than it is. If something develops, I find myself very keen on the idea. If not, the memories were hot! And boy were they. Ok, I’m dangling again, sorry. Moving on…

Visiting Tuscon:
With the extra cash coming in from all the fraking overtime I had to work this past week, I decided to make an impromptu trip to Tuscon next month. I’ve been bugging people to come up and see me for so long I figured it was time to return the favor. Not one but two of my blog buddies, Homer and Urswine Addiction, live there and what better way to spend an extended weekend.2 I didn’t realize how well they knew each other and was a tad worried at first. Both have offered a place for me to crash on many occasion, so who to choose? Being completely selfish, I picked Urswine simply because they have AC. (Don’t hate me Homie. *g*) While I might have grown up in the South, I’ve gotten very used to the cool nights here in SF. If I had to sleep in the heat, I think I’d promptly shrivel up and die! I was a tad worried about slighted feelings but after a quick call to Homer, turns out they are good friends, drama averted. I’m totally excited now. I’ve never actually been to Tuscon so it promises to be a fun trip. I would say think “Bears Gone Wild” but I still haven’t quite reconciled myself into that category. I’m just me. Pig is more like it.

Life: Normal

A big thank you to all the kind words of encouragement and support regarding my dealings w/Continental AND with their handsome attendant. I didn’t even mind the walk of shame from the hotel the following morning.1

Gay High Holy day #1 has come and gone. The city has pretty much returned to normal.2 I am also home from my vacation and my week of antics. It was a busy damn week and I am glad to be back. From hosting the incorrigible Brettcajun and my buds from Tuscon to flying home to see the clan, this blogger is tired. I’m slowly catching up on my blogroll as well.

Work today is almost a relief. (Almost) I didn’t really wanna come in today though. It is so nice and sunny out, I just wanted to go layout at the park. My friend Matthew dragged me out to the beach yesterday so I guess I can’t complain too much.

I posted more of the pics from the blogger summit. I still have twice as many to edit and load. I’ll get to it eventually. I’m feeling sooo unmotivated right now. Oh, and I’ll be posting a private post later this week as well. No, it is not about Steve but it is juicy. hehehe

Duty calls…

1 He had to fly out early not me. I stayed in bed after he left.
2 As normal as SF ever gets. hehehe

Bold Move

I originally typed this from the airplane. I’m just getting around to posting it.

I just gave one of the flight attendants on the plane my card. God, I’m such a brazen hussy. If you’ve been reading my trip dialogue it is needless to say, I got on the plane very grumpy. As I’m entering the cabin door, I look up to see him standing there greeting everyone. I can report his charming smile made me forget my grumpiness. Big strapping beefy hairy fucker.

It was at that moment, I prayed to the dating god that he was NOT working first class. My prayer was answered as he was working coach. Every time he passed my seat our eyes would catch and we’d exchange looks. I finally got up the nerve to smile and wink. He gave me a bigger smile back so I figured that was a good sign. I spent the next 2 1/2 hours working up the courage to stop him and give him my card. I can’t tell if he made excuses to come down the aisle or not but I’d like to think so.

Finally, I made my move. He was walking thru checking for trash and I motioned for him to stop. He leaned over and I whispered, "Would it be wrong of me to ask you to call me?". His response, "No, not at all." HOT DAMN! Of course, that made me smile bigger. I wanted to chat but knew that was all but impossible considering the circumstances. Imagine my surprise when he stopped to make a little small talk w/me later. He lives in San Diego but gets to SF often. I expressed my desire for him to call and he seemed genuinely interested. Only time will tell but here’s hoping he does.

So now as the plane approaches SF, I am in much better spirits even if I’m 2 hours behind schedule.

*Update*

We were texting each other after I got off the plane. Turns out he was laying over in SF. I invited him to come into the city with but he had an early flight. To my surprise once again, he invited me to stay over with him. Of course, I accepted. You think I’m daft? lol I can report he was just as charming out of uniform as he was in. We had a great connection and I’m hoping to see him next time he comes to town. I’m currently riding Bart home. I have the rest of the day off. It is good to be home.

Oh, and I teased him this morning that he made me a life time customer w/Continental. hehehe
